your, your parents', your grandparents' or friend's garage. . .

or attic or shed or the back of the guest bedroom closet. Trust me these places hide stuff: half used cans of paint, tools so rusted no one will use them, broken suitcases, fabric samples, wheels and just about everything else you can imagine. These are the places people leave the things they don't want to carry to their new home and where you put the things you cant part with but don't actually want to see. In my last two moves I have found goose lures, giant springs, a set of wheels (minus one), two rusted lawn mowers and a potato gun plus an endless supply of off colors of paint and wood paneling.

If you don't have any of these spaces I recommend you hit the Rebuilding Center on N. Mississippi or the ReStore under the Morrison bridge. Both can provide an endless bounty of all things construction related including tile, light fixtures, wood, plaster and paint.
